The pond at our place is full of frogs right now – mating season. Trixie was intrigued and went in for a closer look. She scared them out of the reeds but you can see a couple in the photo.

I haven’t seen frogs anywhere in a long time. We had a pond not far from home when I was a kid. We’d often collect frogs eggs & put them in a fishbowl. As kids it was great to watch them develop & hatch as tadpoles then gradually turn into frogs. Then we’d take them back to the pond & release them.

That sounds really cool, something I’d like to do. Probably wouldn’t have done it when I was a little girl (frogs = yuck), but now, I would totally love doing something like that. Hmm…maybe next year….

When my daughter Kristy was a toddler she loved playing with snails in the garden but she’d freak out if she had an ant crawl on her.

That’s funny! It’s impressive that she played with snails. I still to this day will not voluntarily touch one.
